The Splendor Inn lives up to its name, a truly lovely Victorian, meticulous and beautiful. Chris and his wife are fantastic, welcoming, and detail-oriented. Chris gave us excellent advice on the good places to eat in town, and had menus for all of them. Even better when he found out we were in Norwich on a house-hunting trip he was very informative about living in the area. When we mentioned that we like crafting and that I particularly love fiber arts we found out to our delight that his wife does too, and that she's part of the local quilting group. When we got back from a delicious dinner at one of the restaurants Chris had recommended he had amazing news. One of his wife's close friends from the quilting group was about to put her house on the market, and he could arrange a showing the next morning! If that's not going above and beyond, I don't know what is! But I also have to tell you about the Splendor Inn itself, which truly is splendid. The dining room has playful cupcake and bunny wallpaper. There's a wonderful tea and coffee nook upstairs by the rooms, with a fridge full of bottled water. There is a serene sitting area off the second floor landing with a full-wall mural of sunlight streaming into a forest glade, and a window seat. The perfect place to enjoy the 24 hour tea. The room was spacious, and it had a private bath with a Greek column and steps leading up to it, palatial! And finally again, the amazing service, Chris asked about when we would like breakfast, and when he found out we'd probably want to dash out the door at the crack of dawn to go see houses and wouldn't have time for breakfast he made us to-go breakfasts! I highly recommend a stay at the Splendor Inn, it was an absolute joy!

This was my first time staying at a B&B! I loved staying here and wished I could have stayed longer. The hosts were very welcoming when we came in and explained everything. Their little dog was quiet and friendly; she stayed downstairs and in her own area. It was a quiet B&B with delicious breakfast. Most importantly our room was clean and safe. We booked this last minute due to our original hotel, The Super 8, being filthy and filled with bugs. Even after the unexpected booking the room was clean and ready by the time we got there. We were sad to leave the hosts and dog but hopefully we'll see them again when we go back.

We booked the whole Airbnb for our niece's wedding months ago. Chris called and emailed numerous times to make sure all our arrangements were what we needed for the weekend! We had numerous family coming in from different areas and at different times. Chris and his wife were so helpful! The rooms and living areas were so beautiful and comfortable! Breakfast each morning was so delicious! Thank you Chris and Ann for making our weekend so comfortable!

My husband and I booked a night here because we were passing through the area, but now that we've stayed here we're hoping to find a reason to come back because it was so pleasant! Chris and his wife were wonderful hosts, welcoming without being nosey (which is always a fear of mine with B&Bs) we truly felt at home. The house is extremely cozy, peaceful, and clean. It's within walking distance of great shops and restaurants. They have a coffee station with a microwave for guests to use and a few quiet sitting areas as well (including a nice little backyard!) The breakfast was made to order and extremely fresh and tasty, and the icing on the cake was their sweet little resident dog. We truly had the best possible experience in every way!

Even though I showed up 2 hours after check-in and missed Chris’s repeated texts and emails due to driving, he was still incredibly courteous and made me feel very welcomed. The place is beautiful and the breakfast was a fantastic full English breakfast. Could not recommend more, especially for the price. I’ll definitely stay there again if I ever need a spot in Norwich!

We had a 4 night stay at Splendor and enjoyed our entire visit. Our host, Chris, greeted us when we arrived and made sure we were comfortable and acquainted with all the features of this beautiful Victorian home. Great breakfast menus. We really enjoyed the stay.

We spent three nights here this September. The innkeepers were fantastic! The breakfast they served each day was by far the best food we had in the area. The home was beautiful and well kept. The bed felt a little older but not bad. The pillows were pretty uncomfortable so I would recommend bringing your own. Overall we loved our stay, and if we are in the area in the future we will definitely stay again!
